  • Museum “Arte Moderna” in Rovereto, Italy

    Jan. 29: At one of Italy's most important contemporary art museums, ABB i-bus KNX lighting control technology produced energy savings of about 28 percent. Reducing monthly power consumption by more than 38,000 kilowatt-hours saved nearly 80,000 euros in the first year.

  • School Center in Neckargemünd, Baden, Germany

    Jan. 25: A British bank installed four ABB standard drives for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) applications in a computer center cooling system.

  • ABB drives reduce running costs of air handling unit by 70%

    Jan. 8: At a block of managed business premises in Monmouthshire in Wales, the installation of two ABB variable speed drives has reduced the running cost of the air handling unit from 180 pounds to just 50 pounds a week. This is set to save over 6,000 pounds annually, reducing CO2 emissions by 12 tonnes per year.

  • School teaches lesson in energy efficiency

    May 8: A school in Helsinki, Finland, installed ABB drives to cut energy use in its gymnasium by about 15 percent, a reduction made possible by using the drives to govern energy use according to need.
